As an addition to our finest handcraftmanship Surfboards by Fatum Surfboards, Wavegliders and Neil Purchase which are all made in Europe under the best conditions possible, we decided to add some Hightech Factorymade Boards to our Shop Quiver.
We got two Lib Tech x …Lost Surfboards which are made in world’s most environmental factory in the US by people who ride them.
We tested one of these last year in portugal and they may not look as classy as a hand-shaped beauty; but they are so much fun and reactive and most important:
they do have a good flex, not like the typical eps epoxy board.
We do have the …Lost Puddle Fish 6´0 and a ..Lost Puddle Jumper 5´1 two of the best allrounders by Shaping Master Matt Biollos.
The Mervin Lib Tech factory close to canada runs on renewable energy, is still family owned and operated and it´s produces zero hazardous waste.
The Surfboards are made with 100% waterproof closed cell foam which does not absorb water, so if you have a ding, nothing happens, you do not need to fill it. The boards are the most durable boards: Lasts longer, less dings, less boards in landfills.
Recycled foam core: up to 40% recycled content in blank. No paint brushes, no sand paper no tape. No solvents except water. Blank offcuts get 100% recycled. Non ozone depleting blowing agent.
They use non-petroleum based bio-plastics made from castor beans and don´t use any cancer-causing toxic automotive lacquer clearcoats. They use soy-based elastomer sidewalls instead of toxic ABS and only low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) epoxy resin systems. The basalt fiber is additive-free & less toxic than conventional fiberglass. Only water-cleansed grinding systems are used to minimize airborne particulate levels
Only renewable forest products are used, the Columbian Gold wood is FSC „pure“ certified. Fast growing trees have long fibers & natural pop. Wood is nature’s fiberglass. The wood sawdust is recycled as a soil additive and scrap wood is donated as kindling. All scrap plastics (base cutouts, etc.) will be recycled. The factory heating runs on renewable based biodiesel!
